Pampering Event Huge Success!

The Museum Event was a hit with the ladies this past Friday! MOVE’s leadership team would like to sincerely thank all of the men, their wives, and friends who loved and encouraged the women and children from Pathways Center, Partnership Village, Hannah’s Haven, Mary’s House, Weaver House, and the Center of Hope! MOVE volunteers served over 90 women and kids!! It was by far the largest turnout yet for a pampering event! I have heard from several of the Directors who told me that their ladies had a great time and they were so appreciative to have had a chance to relax and enjoy the food, pampering, and museum!
So often when we decide to give our time and resources to someone else, we do it because we think they really do need what we have to offer! While true, more times than not we walk away from those opportunities having received much more in return than we ever expected! Of course, that’s what the Bible means when it says that it is “more blessed to give than to receive”! Even though I sincerely do believe that principal, far too often I still struggle to practice it in my daily living. But every time (without fail) that I choose to test that strange truth I find that it makes a little more sense with each experience. I hope and pray that you will continue to grow with me as we become more determined to put action behind our words! Wherever we go, whatever we do! Not just on Sunday, but every other day of the week!!
